How does Memory Spark work?
Memory Spark scans your photo library for images with people using on-device face detection. It randomly picks 10 photos, creates text descriptions of the scenes (never the faces), and sends those descriptions to an AI art generator to create a single artistic image blending all those moments together.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photos never leave your device. All face detection and photo scanning happens on-device. Only short text descriptions of scenes (like "a sunny beach setting with warm colors") are sent to the AI to generate the art prompt. Your actual photos are never uploaded or transmitted.
What's the difference between Surprise Me and Craft Your Own?
Surprise Me is free — one tap, the app randomly picks photos and a style, and generates art. Craft Your Own lets you shuffle through photos, choose your preferred art style, and customize the generation. Craft Your Own is a Pro feature.
How do I save or share my generated image?
After the image is generated, tap the Save or Share button. Free users can watch a short video to save with a small corner watermark, or upgrade to Pro for instant, watermark-free HD saves and shares.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iPhone/iPad: Open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Memory Spark → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Open Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Memory Spark → Cancel.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open Memory Spark → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase.
The app says I have no photos with people. What do I do?
Make sure you've granted Memory Spark access to your full photo library (not just selected photos). On iPhone, go to Settings → Memory Spark → Photos → change to "Full Access". The app needs to scan your library to detect faces.
Generation failed. What should I do?
This usually means the AI service is temporarily busy. Try again in a few moments. If the problem persists, check your internet connection. If it continues, please contact us.
How do I delete all my data?
Open Memory Spark → Settings → Delete All Data. This removes all generated images, preferences, and local data. Alternatively, uninstalling the app deletes everything.
