Overview
Memory Spark ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by Hasan Burak Dümer. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Photos & Photo Library
Memory Spark accesses your photo library to find photos containing people and generate artistic images from them. Here is how this works:
- On-device processing only. Face detection and photo scanning happen entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework and Google ML Kit. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers.
- Text descriptions only. When generating art, we send short text descriptions of your photos (scene, mood, setting — never faces or identifiable features) to our AI provider (OpenAI) to create an image prompt. The actual photos never leave your device.
- No photo storage. We do not store, copy, or transmit your original photos anywhere.
AI-Generated Images
Generated artwork is stored locally on your device within the app's sandbox. If you choose to save or share an image, it is written to your photo library or shared via the standard system share sheet. We do not have access to your generated images.
Account & Personal Information
Memory Spark does not require account creation. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily contact us for support.
Subscriptions & Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) through RevenueCat. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user identifier to manage your subscription status. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g., which features are popular, crash reports). This data is aggregated and anonymous. It may include:
- Device type and operating system version
- App usage events (e.g., "generation started", "style selected")
- Crash logs and performance data
We do not track your location, browsing history, or any personally identifiable information through analytics. For more information, see Firebase Privacy Information.
Advertising
Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising; Android: Settings → Google → Ads). For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Pro subscribers do not see any ads.
Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we send local reminders to create your daily Memory Spark. These notifications are scheduled on your device and do not transmit data to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Third-Party Services
Memory Spark uses the following third-party services:
- OpenAI — for generating text descriptions and AI art. Only text prompts are sent, never photos. OpenAI Privacy Policy

- Firebase (Google) — for analytics and crash reporting. Firebase Privacy
- Google AdMob — for displaying ads to free users. Google Privacy Policy
Data Retention
All generated images and app data are stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time from the app's Settings screen ("Delete All Data"). Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
Children's Privacy
Memory Spark is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal data, there is generally no personal information to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about your data, you can contact us at any time.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
